¡Llevando el Camino de Santiago a Canadá!
El pasado 5 de noviembre, la Extraordinary Geographica Gala organizada por la Royal Canadian Geographical Society (RCGS) ofreció una oportunidad única para destacar una de las experiencias culturales más emblemáticas de España: el Camino de Santiago.
El evento fue organizado por la Oficina de Turismo de España en Canadá y la Embajada de España en Canadá, con el apoyo de Turismo de Galicia y Turismo de Asturias, quienes presentaron una hermosa exposición en la Main Gallery de la RCGS.
Más de 500 invitados que asistieron a una de las galas más prestigiosas de Ottawa pudieron explorar y “saborear” el espíritu del Camino a través de dos de sus regiones más icónicas: Asturias y Galicia.
La Cámara de Comercio de España en Canadá se complació en participar en esta velada especial gracias a la contribución de dos de nuestras empresas miembro —Redondo Iglesias y Solfarmers— quienes deleitaron a los asistentes con auténtica gastronomía española, mostrando con orgullo los sabores de España.

Showcasing the Camino de Santiago at the RCGS Extraordinary Geographica Gala – Ottawa, November 5th
Bringing the Camino de Santiago to Canada!
On November 5th, the Extraordinary Geographica Gala hosted by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society (RCGS) offered a unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on one of Spain’s most emblematic cultural experiences: The Camino de Santiago.
The event was organized by the Tourist Office of Spain in Canada and the Embassy of Spain in Canada, together with the support of Turismo de Galicia and Turismo de Asturias, who curated a beautiful exhibition in the Main Gallery of the RCGS.
More than 500 guests attending one of Ontario’s most prestigious galas were able to explore and “taste” the spirit of the Camino through two of its most iconic regions: Asturias and Galicia.
The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Canada was pleased to participate in this special evening through the contribution of two of our member companies — Redondo Iglesias and Solfarmers — who delighted attendees with authentic Spanish cuisine, proudly showcasing the flavours of Spain.
