Yesterday, July 7th, the Working Day at the Secretariat of State for Trade began at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business, as part of the Assembly of Official Spanish Chambers of Commerce Abroad.
The day opened with a presentation by Mr. Juan Luis Gimeno, Director General of Economic and Commercial Intelligence, who shared an analysis of the current geoeconomics context and its impact on Spanish foreign trade.
Next, the session focused on the internationalization support instruments that the Secretariat of State for Trade offers to Chambers and their members companies. Representatives from COFIDES, ICO, CESCE and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business shared the financing tools available for export and direct investment abroad, in a panel moderated by Ms. Marta Valero, Director of International Financing at ICEX.
In the afternoon, the discussion turned to the support and oversight of Spanish Chambers of Commerce Abroad by the Secretariat of State for Trade, under the framework of Royal Decree 1179/2020. The importance of sustainability, good governance and operational excellence was highlighted as the foundation of the Chambers’ credibility, along with the value of maintaining their official recognition.
The day concluded with the General Assemblies of FECECA and FEDECOM. As a member Chamber of FECECA, we tool part in its General Assembly, where results and activities of the network were presented: over 4,500 members companies across all FECECA Chambers, new initiatives to strengthen cooperation among Chambers, the institutional strengthening of the federation, and progress in its communication and visibility.
Ayer, 7 de julio dio comienzo, en el Ministerio de Economía, Comercio y Empresa, la Jornada de Trabajo en la Secretaría de Estado de Comercio, en el marco de la Asamblea de Cámaras Oficiales de Comercio Españolas en el Extranjero.
La jornada arrancó con una ponencia de D. Juan Luis Gimeno, Director General de Inteligencia Económica y Comercial, quien ofreció un análisis del contexto geoeconómico actual y su impacto en el comercio exterior español.
A continuación, se abordaron los instrumentos de apoyo a la internacionalización que la Secretaría de Estado de Comercio pone a disposición de las Cámaras y sus empresas asociadas. Representantes de COFIDES, ICO, CESCE y del Ministerio de Economía, Comercio y Empresa compartieron las herramientas de financiación disponibles para la exportación y la inversión directa en el exterior, en una mesa moderada por Dña. Marta Valero, Directora de Financiación Internacional en ICEX.
Por la tarde, se trató el apoyo y la supervisión de las Cámaras de Comercio Españolas en el Extranjero por parte de la Secretaría de Estado de Comercio, en el marco del Real Decreto 1179/2020. Se destacó la importancia de la sostenibilidad, la buena gobernanza y la operatividad de las Cámaras como base de su credibilidad, así como el valor de mantener su reconocimiento oficial.
La jornada concluyó con las Asambleas Generales de FECECA y FEDECOM. Como Cámara integrante de FECECA, participamos en su Asamblea General, donde se presentaron los resultados y actividades de la red: más de 4.500 empresas asociadas en el conjunto de sus Cámaras, nuevas iniciativas para reforzar la cooperación entre ellas, el fortalecimiento institucional de la federación y avances en su comunicación y visibilidad.
