From July 7th to 9th, Madrid hosted the Assembly of Official Spanish Chambers of Commerce Abroad, bringing together representatives from the CAMACOES network alongside the Territorial Chambers of Commerce for three days of institutional meetings, working sessions and networking.
The Assembly opened with a welcome reception at the Santo Mauro Hotel, followed by a full working day at the Secretariat of State for Trade, at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business. Sessions covered the current geoeconomic context, internationalization support instruments offered by COFIDES, ICO and CESCE, and the framework for official recognition of Chambers Abroad under Royal Decree 1179/2020. The day closed with the General Assemblies of FECECA and FEDECOM, followed by an institutional dinner at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
The second day took place at the headquarters of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, focused entirely on the CAMACOE network: good governance, collaborative projects and tools, and round tables sharing best practices among Chambers on collective actions, services to companies, and cooperation with institutions and governments. Our Secretary General, Ms. Silvia Borda, took part in one of the panels, sharing our Chamber’s experience working alongside Canadian and Spanish institutions. The day concluded with a joint session between the Territorial Chambers and CAMACOES, and an institutional visit and cocktail at the Gallery of the Royal Collections.
The Assembly came to a close on July 9th with a final networking session between CAMACOES and the Territorial Chambers, reaffirming the strength and cohesion of the Spanish chamber network worldwide.
Del 6 al 9 de julio, Madrid acogió la Asamblea de Cámaras Oficiales de Comercio Españolas en el Extranjero, que reunió a representantes de la red CAMACOES junto con las Cámaras de Comercio Territoriales durante tres días de encuentros institucionales, jornadas de trabajo y networking.
La Asamblea se inauguró con una recepción de bienvenida en el Hotel Santo Mauro, seguida de una jornada completa de trabajo en la Secretaría de Estado de Comercio, en el Ministerio de Economía, Comercio y Empresa. Las sesiones abordaron el contexto geoeconómico actual, los instrumentos de apoyo a la internacionalización de COFIDES, ICO y CESCE, y el marco de reconocimiento oficial de las Cámaras en el Extranjero bajo el Real Decreto 1179/2020. La jornada concluyó con las Asambleas Generales de FECECA y FEDECOM, seguidas de una cena institucional en la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando.
La segunda jornada tuvo lugar en la sede de la Cámara de Comercio de España, íntegramente dedicada a la red CAMACOE: buena gobernanza, proyectos y herramientas colaborativas, y mesas redondas sobre buenas prácticas en acciones colectivas, servicios a empresas y colaboración con instituciones y gobiernos. Nuestra Secretaria General, Dña. Silvia Borda, participó en una de las mesas, compartiendo la experiencia de nuestra Cámara trabajando junto a instituciones canadienses y españolas. La jornada concluyó con una sesión conjunta entre las Cámaras Territoriales y CAMACOES, y una visita institucional y cóctel en la Galería de las Colecciones Reales.
La Asamblea llegó a su fin el 9 de julio con una sesión final de networking entre CAMACOES y las Cámaras Territoriales, reafirmando la fortaleza y cohesión de la red cameral española en el mundo.
